What we do at MAP Middlesbrough
MAP Middlesbrough offers practical support and social opportunities to those seeking asylum in Middlesbrough, and to refugees. We have been working with asylum-seekers and refugees locally since 2002.
We aim to create welcoming spaces, where there is an instant sense of community. MAP developed out of a project of the Middlesbrough and Eston Circuit of the Methodist Church, and registered as a charity in 2009.
We offer a varied programme of services including 2nd hand clothing and household goods distribution, a regular weekly activities programme, and one-off classes, collaborations, outings and activities, which are often delivered in partnership with others.
