What we do at MAP Middlesbrough
MAP Middlesbrough offers practical support and social opportunities to those seeking asylum in Middlesbrough, and to refugees. We have been working with asylum-seekers and refugees locally since 2002.
We aim to create welcoming spaces, where there is an instant sense of community. MAP developed out of a project of the Middlesbrough and Eston Circuit of the Methodist Church, and registered as a charity in 2009.
We offer a varied programme of services including 2nd hand clothing and household goods distribution, a regular weekly activities programme, and one-off classes, collaborations, outings and activities, which are often delivered in partnership with others.
Interested in Volunteering with MAP?
All of our services are run by our friendly and committed volunteers. We could not do it without them!
